‘Just like honey’ / The Jesus and Mary Chain (B.S.O. ‘Lost in translation’).
‘Just like honey’ / The Jesus and Mary Chain.
Listen to the girl
As she takes on half the world
Moving up and so alive
In her honey dripping beehive
Beehive
It’s good, so good, it’s so good
So good
Prestad atención a la chica
mientras se come medio mundo
ascendiendo y sintiéndose tan viva
en su colmena,
su colmena que chorrea miel
Está bien, tan bien, está tan bien
Tan bien.
Walking back to you
Is the hardest thing that
I can do
That I can do for you
For you
Regresar hacia ti
es lo más difícil que
puedo hacer
que puedo hacer por ti
por ti
I’ll be your plastic toy
I’ll be your plastic toy
For you
Seré tu juguete de plástico
Seré tu juguete de plástico.
Por ti
Eating up the scum
Is the hardest thing for
Me to do
Tragarme esta mierda
es lo más difícil
que puedo hacer
Just like honey
Como si fuera miel.

Aclaraciones sobre la traducción.
Según el WR, ‘I felt I could take on the whole world’ puede traducirse como ‘Sentía que me podía comer el mundo’. De ahí que haya traducido ‘As she takes on half the world’ así.
Lo de ‘eating up the scum’, puede tener relación con lo que hace Bob en la peli, cuando prolonga su estancia en Tokyo para pasar más días junto a ella. O igual no… si a vosotros os dice otra cosa…
Si aun así no le encontráis mucho sentido ¿a qué esperáis para ver ‘Lost in Translation’?
(SPOILER. Si no la has visto, no le des al play)
